Job Description

OverviewAs a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT) Manager, you will lead a team of technicians, providing expert guidance on performing hardware deployments, diagnostics on equipment, and hardware decommissions. You will support technician performance, prioritizing technician tasks while monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This opportunity will allow you to model leadership principles, provide training to technicians, and accelerate your career growth in the process.Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCT Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Responsibilities Lead and develop the team, driving accountability, coaching, and a strong, positive cultureOwn data center service compliance and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality standardsEnforce adherence to DCS policies, SLAs, and operational procedures across all service executionOversee technician readiness, including training, execution quality checks, and corrective actionsManage escalations and process changes, ensuring effective resolution and clear stakeholder communicationChampion safety and operational excellence, promoting accountability, compliance, and high service quality across the siteQualificationsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or related experience workingwith technical teams.Experience directing, supervising, or managing others.This role requires proficiency in written, reading, and conversational English as all business operations and customer communications are conducted in French.Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:Associate degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.Experience working in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.Applicable certifications: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Six Sigma Green Belt).Experience leading diverse, technical, or IT workforce of up to ten employees. Data Center Technicians M3 - The typical base pay range for this role across France is € 53,600.00 - € 99,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
