Microsoft Advertising offers a compelling portfolio of advertising products, innovative solutions and the opportunity to engage with some of the brightest minds in the digital space while contributing meaningfully to our purpose of innovating a new world of advertising possibilities to empower growth for all.Who We’re Looking For Microsoft Advertising (MSA) is seeking a Learning and Development Certification Learning Manager responsible for designing, managing, and scaling certification programs that educate and validate learner knowledge, skills, and readiness. This role partners with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, instructional designers, and training delivery teams to create industry-recognized certification pathways that drive skill attainment, professional credibility, and measurable business outcomes. This role will manage the evolution of our Learning Management System (LMS) platforms- including strategy, design, content creation, execution, promotion, and measurement. The role combines proficieny in learning and development, assessment design, credentialing best practices, learning technology, and program management to ensure certifications are rigorous, scalable, data-driven, and aligned to business needs.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve the Microsoft Advertising external certification program strategy and roadmap in partnership with stakeholders to ensure certification offerings support business goals, product priorities, and learner development.Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to define certification priorities, requirements, and measures of success.Lead the end-to-end certification lifecycle, including program governance, operational readiness, launch planning, program maintenance, and periodic refresh cycles based on data.Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop, maintain, and evolve certification content, standards, and program frameworks that reflect changing business needs and industry trends.Design and develop engaging learning content by applying proven instructional design principles, ensuring materials are learner-centric, interactive, and aligned to business objectivesEstablish AI-first content approach, including when to leverage assistants vs curate or create content manually.Provide guidance on data analytics to evaluate trends, tell the data story, identify capability gaps, improve benchmarking, and drive learner-centric priorities.Partner with Marketing, Sales, and other teams for promotional opportunities to highlight new content and grow the audience.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Master's Degree or equivalent 1+ year(s) experience in learning and development, certification, credentialing or corporate educationOR Bachelor's degree or equivalent AND 2+ years experience in learning and development, certification, credentialing or corporate educationOR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree or equivalent AND 6+ years experience in learning and development, certification, credentialing or corporate educationOR Bachelor's degree or equivalent AND 8+ years experience in learning and development, certification, credentialing or corporate educationOR equivalent experience.Experience owning strategy, then executing the creation, management, and analytics of certification or credentialing programs in partnership with business stakeholders.Technology: Proficieny with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms, certification systems, credentialing technologies, or digital badging solutions.Experience modernizing content creation, evolving content libraries, and using modern technology/AI to improve speed, quality, and internal processes.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive recommendations and program improvements.5+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.Proven experience leading complex, cross‑functional programs that span multiple teams, stakeholders, or feature areas, with demonstrated ability to define strategy, evaluate customer and market signals, and prioritize initiatives across a portfolio of work.Demonstrated ability to identify unmet or emerging customer needs through both quantitative (e.g., usage data, telemetry, operational metrics) and qualitative (e.g., customer interviews, listening systems, market trends) insights and translate those needs into scalable solutions or program improvements.Ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments, independently scoping problems, defining success criteria, and driving execution across organizational boundaries.#MicrosoftAI #MSA #MicrosoftAdvertising Integrated Learning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
