OverviewThe Microsoft Agentic Security organization is building the next generation of AI-powered security solutions, rethinking how security work gets done in the era of AI. As part of the Microsoft Agentic Security organization, the Project Perception team is pioneering a new security paradigm that combines frontier AI models, security expertise, knowledge graphs, and deep security context to transform how defenders detect, investigate, and respond to threats. Perception brings together specialized security agents that collaborate across the security lifecycle: • Red agents continuously identify risks, attack paths, exposures, and security gaps before adversaries can exploit them. • Blue agents investigate threats, develop detections, and help defenders prioritize and respond to security incidents. • Green agents drive remediation and hardening recommendations to improve organizational security posture. Together, these agents help security teams operate with greater speed, precision, and scale while keeping humans in control of critical decisions. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to help define and deliver the future of AI-native security experiences. You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and large-scale distributed systems, partnering closely with engineering, security research, design, and business leaders to create products used by security teams worldwide.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Responsibilities• Drive product strategy, vision, and roadmap for key areas of Microsoft Agentic Security and Project Perception. • Define and deliver AI-native security experiences that combine reasoning, action, and human oversight. • Partner with engineering, security research, design, and data science teams to translate emerging technologies into customer value. • Engage directly with enterprise customers, security leaders and architects to identify unmet needs and shape investment priorities. • Analyze customer signals, market trends, threat landscapes, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation. • Lead cross-organizational alignment across Microsoft Security product and platform teams. • Drive business impact through measurable success criteria, product adoption, customer outcomes, and usage analytics. • Communicate product strategy, investment recommendations, risks, and progress to senior and executive leadership. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:8+ years of Product Management experience shipping complex enterprise software products.Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale cloud services or security products for security analysts, SOC teams, CISOs, security architects, or IT administrators. • Experience defining product strategy and executing multi-year roadmaps for highly technical products. • Understanding of cybersecurity domains such as threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, posture management, threat hunting, or pen testing. • Experience partnering with security practitioners, security research teams, offensive security teams, or red team organizations. • Familiarity with AI systems, large language models (LLMs), retrieval and grounding techniques, agentic architectures, evaluation frameworks, or autonomous workflows. • Experience building or shipping AI-powered products, agent-based solutions, or intelligent workflow systems.• Written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior and executive leadership. • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries and align diverse stakeholders around a common vision. •Analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills.• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. • Experience with distributed systems, enterprise SaaS platforms, and secure cloud services. • Familiarity with knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented systems, evaluation frameworks, security intelligence, or AI infrastructure platforms. • Experience launching category-defining products in emerging technology spaces. Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Required Qualifications
