As a result, our customers are better served.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver innovative and impactful features within Power BIAI-Native Development - Improves artificial intelligence (AI) tools and practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team membersPartners with and guides appropriate internal and external stakeholders and leverages expertise to determine and confirm customer/user requirements and their feasibility for a set of scenariosActs as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Embody our culture and valuesQualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Rust, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.Job Requirements: Other & Additional Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred/Additional Qualifications8+ years of experience leading complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams, services, or organizations. Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence. Proficiency in Rust, C#, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, production services, or enterprise software systems.Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms; Azure experience preferred.Understanding of security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, reliability, and Responsible AI principles.Experience building or leading AI-powered solutions, production AI applications, LLM-enabled experiences, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, applied machine learning capabilities, or AI-assisted engineering practices.Ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments, influence without authority, and align stakeholders around durable technical decisions.Communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear engineering, product, and business direction.Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and raise the engineering bar across an organization.#azdat#azuredata#powerbi#copilot Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Required Qualifications
