OverviewProduct Designer II – Cross Device Experiences The Devices + Experiences Design team is looking for a Product Designer II to help shape the future of Cross Device Experiences across Microsoft's ecosystem. You'll design experiences that help people stay in the flow as they move across devices, applications, services, and emerging AI-powered experiences. This is a maker role. Beyond creating exceptional UI/UX, you'll be expected to rapidly prototype concepts, build interactive experiences, and use modern AI-first design and development tools to explore ideas, validate assumptions, and communicate product direction. You will partner closely with design, product management, engineering, and research teams to define and deliver the next generation of experiences spanning devices, platforms, services, and AI-powered workflows. Drive projects from concept through execution, taking ownership of design direction, identifying opportunities, shaping product strategy, and proactively moving work forward across partner teams. Design end-to-end experiences that span devices, applications, services, and AI-powered workflows. Rapidly prototype experiences using design tools, code, and AI-assisted prototyping workflows to explore concepts, validate ideas, and gather feedback. Contribute to design systems, patterns, and interaction frameworks that create consistency across a broad portfolio of cross-device experiences. Use customer insights, usability research, product telemetry, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design.OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).Other Requirements: Submission must include a link to a digitial portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design, interaction design, visual design, and shipped customer experiences. Preferred Qualifications:4+ years of experience in product design for consumer or productivity software. Experience designing mobile, desktop, web, or multi-device ecosystems. Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Experience designing multi-device, companion, continuity, ecosystem, or connected experiences. Ability to build functional prototypes using code, low-code tools, or modern AI-powered development workflows. Experience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative product teams. Passion for emerging AI experiences, agents, and intelligent workflows. Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership, proactively driving work forward through ambiguity. #W+DJOBS Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
