Job Description
We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Trade Support Director to support the Commodities Operations that enables the trading business to transact in global markets with a diverse set of clients in the commodities sector.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within the Product Support & Services ISG.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changesAct as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issuesCoordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contributionProcess OTC Trade Lifecycle events such as unwind and novation and monitor and action Trade Exceptions.Ensure high focus for regulatory reporting relating to deal structuring and settlement. The candidate will need to manage multiple reporting cut offs as well as communicate submissions.Lead the Mumbai OTC and Listed Commodities Trade Support team, setting priorities, service standards and control expectations for the function.Own operational delivery and control effectiveness across trade support, reconciliations, lifecycle management, expiry and delivery controls, reporting and exception management.Provide oversight of exchange-versus-risk, risk-versus-ledger, Tigris / ICX, TradeMart / SIMBA / LDPACT, QWEST, DMT / P2 and related Listed Commodities control processes.
