DARLINGTON RACEWAYDarlington Raceway, nicknamed The Lady in Black and the track Too Tough to Tame, annually hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends, along with the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and/or NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. Opening in 1950, Darlington Raceway is “A NASCAR Tradition” and NASCAR’s original superspeedway with its famed 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval, challenging the sports best in one of the most iconic NASCAR races, the Southern 500®.This position will support the Darlington Raceway branded Pace Car at public appearances and promotional events throughout the Pee Dee region and state of South Carolina. Street Team members will responsibly represent themselves as the face of Darlington Raceway to current and prospective customers. This is a temporary, seasonal position, and hours will be dependent on the appearance schedule.Duties & Responsibilities:Enthusiastically interact with and educate the public on Darlington Raceway history, information, and ticket opportunitiesResponsible for loading and unloading the Darlington Raceway Pace CarEnsure the promotional display is appropriately supplied with materials and giveaway items, while maintaining a neat, organized presentationActively collect prospects for future outreach campaignsAttend in-market events throughout the state of South Carolina for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunitiesAssist with charitable events held at the trackBe knowledgeable about the events held at Darlington Raceway and topical NASCAR storylinesAssist in the setup and teardown of the displayOther duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 18 years of ageCurrently living or attending school in South CarolinaPost high school education required or equivalent experienceExceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industryCompetitive nature and a contagious positive attitudeStrong time management and organizational skills; reliable and dependableExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduledReliable transportation to and from the track locationWork RequirementsMay require limited out-of-town and overnight travelValid Driver’s licenseApply Now!Learn more about this role and our team by applying at www.careers.nascar.com for consideration.We are a company unlike any other. Required Qualifications

  • Currently living or attending school in South Carolina (experience)

Responsibilities
