(*in collaboration with AbbVie)About the Role:Primarily provides routine Alliance Management support including the logistical, administrative, and process related activities for alliances spanning new business development transactions to existing strategic alliances in early development through commercialization. Provides support to ensure that alliances run smoothly and related projects progress and meet pre-defined objectives and timelines._Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Under general supervision, performs alliance support including cross-functional coordination, scheduling, reporting, and trackingProvide governance and meeting support such as preparing agendas, meeting minutes, and working with cross-functional teams to compile governance presentationsServe as a point of contact for routine alliance communicationsAssist with tracking contractual milestones and monitoring contractual obligationsCoordinate with internal teams such as R&D, Legal, Finance, Clinical, Regulatory, and CMC to support alliance activitiesTrack action items and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure completionMaintain alliance related trackers and dashboardsSupport preparation of alliance status updates and reportsEscalate risks, delays, or issues to senior alliance leadersAssist with communication of priorities and strategies to alliance governance committee(s)Other duties as assignedRequirements:BS/BA degree in a scientific or business field and 2+ years of experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical scientific or alliance management-based role ORMaster’s Degree in a scientific or business field and some similar experience as noted aboveDemonstrated functional expertise working in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry role with expertise in a scientific discipline, business development, or alliance management functionExperience working on a cross-functional teamExperience working with contracts and knowledge of legal terminologyWorking knowledge of small molecule and biologics drug discovery and developmentExperience collaborating with global teamsBasic understanding of accounting and finance principlesDemonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotechnology basics including the drug development process, regulatory aspects, and cross-functional rolesHigh attention to detail in all aspects of workDemonstrated success working with PowerPoint, Excel, and the Microsoft suiteEasily adapts to a variety of technology and collaboration toolsAbility to work as part of a team both as a contributor and as a leaderStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsComfortable handling complex relationships and resolving conflictAbility to meet deadlines and communicate proactively when delays occurGood project management skills#LI-TM1Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working on a cross-functional team (experience)
  • Experience working with contracts and knowledge of legal terminology (experience)
