(*in collaboration with AbbVie)About the Role:Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials to inventory and end users. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production._Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Receives and distributes incoming shipments and ships outgoing materials consistent with considerations of quality, service, and company policy and procedureReceives incoming purchased products and research materials, distribute the incoming products and materials, and make the corresponding entries in PeopleSoft to document receiptProperly classifies and ships materials, consistent with federal, state, and local requirementsMaintains shipping and receiving programs in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley / 404 requirementsProvides management with information with regard to shipping and receiving trends, costs, and new opportunitiesMaintains in-house stock inventory at planned levelsParticipates in miscellaneous Operations department activities including, but not limited to: environmental health and safety, asset management, and chemical inventoryRequirements:High School Diploma / Associates degree and no related experience requiredComputer literate and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and AccessProficient in standard Shipping and Receiving procedures and practicesMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsDevelops skills to perform basic activities in own jobLearns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasksValid drivers license and ability to drive company vehicles#LI-TM1Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 15% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
