(*in collaboration with AbbVie)About the Role:The Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence will lead Neurocrine's enterprise competitive intelligence capability across our commercial portfolio, clinical pipeline, research programs and external innovation activities. Serves as a strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership, translating complex and rapidly evolving scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial and competitive information into clear insights that inform corporate strategy, portfolio decisions, business development, R&D strategy and commercial execution.Builds a forward-looking CI capability that goes beyond traditional monitoring and reporting. Identifies emerging competitive threats and opportunities, develops differentiated perspectives on where markets and therapeutic areas are heading, anticipates competitor actions and helps Neurocrine make better decisions earlier.Utilizes and champions modern AI tools to transform how Neurocrine collects, analyzes, synthesizes and disseminates competitive intelligence across the entire portfolio. Develops an executive-level competitive thesis and uses AI to interrogate large volumes of scientific, clinical, regulatory, financial and market information to find insights others may miss._Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Owns and leads Neurocrine's enterprise competitive intelligence strategy across marketed products, development-stage assets, research programs and emerging areas of strategic interestDevelops deep competitive landscapes across Neurocrine's therapeutic areas, integrating scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial, market access and financial perspectivesIdentifies emerging competitors, mechanisms, technologies and market developments before they become consensus, and assess their potential implications for NeurocrineServes as a trusted thought partner to Corporate Strategy, Business Development, R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs and executive leadershipTranslates complex competitive information into clear strategic implications and recommendations, rather than simply reporting developmentsDevelops competitor and asset-level scenarios, including likely clinical-development strategies, regulatory paths, launch timing, positioning, commercial potential and potential competitor responsesLeads competitive assessments around major catalysts, including clinical readouts, regulatory decisions, medical congresses, product launches, earnings calls and business development transactionsDevelops and maintains competitive landscapes, company profiles, pipeline databases, catalyst calendars and other decision-support tools across the portfolioPartners with Business Development and Corporate Strategy on external innovation, transaction evaluations, market landscapes and strategic opportunity assessmentsPartners with R&D teams to understand emerging biology, modalities and development strategies and identify competitive implications early in the research and development lifecyclePartners with Commercial and Medical teams to understand evolving standards of care, physician behavior, market dynamics and competitor positioningDesigns and leads competitive simulations and war-gaming exercises around important clinical, regulatory and commercial eventsBuilds an effective system for rapidly communicating material competitive developments to leadership while avoiding information overloadBuilds an AI-native competitive intelligence capability across Neurocrine's entire portfolio, using tools to increase the breadth, speed and depth of competitive analysisUses large language models and other AI-enabled research and analytical tools to synthesize scientific literature, clinical-trial information, regulatory documents, patents, company disclosures, medical-congress data, market research and other structured and unstructured informationDevelops workflows and agents for continuous competitive monitoring, catalyst tracking, landscape development, signal detection and synthesis of large information setsUses AI to connect information across therapeutic areas and datasets, identify weak signals and emerging patterns, generate and pressure-test hypotheses, and surface competitive developments that traditional CI approaches may missEvaluates and implements new AI tools and data sources that materially improve Neurocrine's competitive intelligence capabilitiesPartners with Digital/IT, Legal, Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate and responsible use of AI and external informationBuilds strong relationships across functions and therapeutic areas and create an enterprise network for sharing competitive intelligenceInfluences decisions without direct authority and effectively challenge assumptions at senior levels of the organizationManages external CI vendors and consultants while building sufficient internal capability that Neurocrine retains institutional knowledge and strategic judgmentRecruits, develops and mentors CI talent as the function growsEstablishes standards and best practices for competitive intelligence across the organizationDevelops executive-level competitive updates, portfolio reviews, governance materials and Board presentations as neededOther Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Required Qualifications
