Develops and executes regional state government affairs strategy in alignment with the Company’s Government Affairs strategy, business priorities and long-term objectives. Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and key internal stakeholders, translating legislative and regulatory developments into business implications and recommended actions. Influences the development and drives the implementation of relevant corporate policy through strategic partnerships with government, industry and other external stakeholders aligning with business objectives. This is a state lobbying position with the following states in the region: Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Delaware. Other duties as assignedRequirements:BS/BA degree in Business, Political Science, Public Policy, or related Field and 12+ years of relevant government affairs, public policy, legislative or related experienceExtensive knowledge of state legislative, regulatory, and political processes, with demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues, assess business implications, and develop effective strategiesSignificant direct experience in state government affairs required; experience in Texas strongly preferred. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
