You will also partner closely with other Principal Engineers, Engineering Directors, and Product Managers in both Product Creation and other departments. Product Creation is the technology powerhouse behind Nike’s product creation ecosystem driving digital transformation across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories. In this role, you will to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike’s pursuit of delivering state of the art tools to our product developers and broader creation community. You will need to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have depth of native cloud software engineering experience.Key Qualifications.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience14+ years hands-on software engineering experience5+ years experience as a Principal or Staff Engineer, accountable for multiple engineering teams5+ years native cloud engineering experience in a high scale, business critical domainExcellent computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and modern cloud native design patternsHands-on experience implementing Gen AI and working knowledge of Gen AI design patternsDeep experience with distributed cloud systems tech (Java/node.js, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or Google Cloud/Azure equivalents)Experience with front-end web application tech (javascript, CSS, html5, Vue, React/redux)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and business-facingAbility to build and maintain relationships with multiple senior stakeholdersDomain experience in product creation, design, innovation or manufacturing is a major plusAbility to pass a seven year background investigationWHAT YOU WILL WORK ONIf this is you, you’ll be working on the Product Creation team and be one of the primary technical leaders on one of Nike’s emerging technology platforms. The other half will be leadership responsibilities to drive technical priorities, define engineering best practices, collaborate with peers, and help to translate business problems into technical solutions.
