Major Duties:Monitor notifications from Sub-Custodians and external vendors, monitor and process complex issues via the corporate actions systemInstruct Sub-Custodians and/or agent of Fund Manager decision, effectively and accurately keep clients and fund managers informed of all actions at all timesProvide day-to-day support and guidance to Corporate Actions Analysts, the Senior Analyst will support the Team Leader with respect to workflow distribution and ensuring the effective the use of staff resourcesEnsure all cash and stock entitlements are fully reconciled and cleared from the SSR system, document and reconcile internal relevant suspense accountsIdentify, document and disseminate new procedures and controlsCarries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impactMay have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior ManagementAble to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employeesMay manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)Technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areasDelivers a work product that requires less revisionAble to facilitate discussions and reach decisionsKnowledge:Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredFunctional / Industry Knowledge is requiredAnalytical and problem solving skills are requiredBe able to work as part of a team with minimal supervisionAccuracy and attention to detail are criticalKnowledge of stock and cash reconciliationsExperience:A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required.Working with UsAs a Northern Trust partner, you will be part of a flexible and collaborative work culture, which has a strong history of financial strength and stability.
