This is a fully onsite position located in Woodland Hills, CA working a 9/80 schedule. This is an 80/20 role where 80% of the time is spent on program activities and 20% of the time spent on staff management and development.What You’ll get to Do:Manage/Oversee the engineering design, development, verification, and transition to production of digital devices such as Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), System on a Chip (SoC), and Digital Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC)Develop and implement strong processes with emphasis on quantitative management and continuous improvementProvide management guidance to achieve outstanding cost, schedule and technical performanceResponsible for technical guidance and oversight in developing technical and cost proposalsInterface with business focused discipline leads to coordinate staffing requirements and ensure proper skill mix to support program activitiesMentor and challenge team members to develop skills and provide career planning/development pathsResponsible for all manager related activities to include, but not limited to: conduct performance and salary reviews, approve timecards, performance management, and work closely with HR on elevated employee mattersOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 6 years of relevant experienceExperience leading a team on a technical development effort or technical production supportUnderstanding of the engineering processes and tools used in digital design and verificationExperience with one or moreFPGASoCASICExperienced with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and processes used for hardware designsExperience with generating and/or reviewing cost estimates/basis of estimates (BOEs)Demonstrated ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with employees of all levelsU.S. Citizenship is requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance within a timeframe set forth by managementMust be able to work full-time onsite in Woodland Hills, CAPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in a technical fieldCurrent/Active SECRET clearanceExperience with FPGA, SoC, and ASICExperience with V&V technologies (System Verilog, UVM, Hardware-In-Loop)Knowledge of Computer Architecture (Bus standards, Interrupts, Memory)Experience with Model-based Engineering (MATLAB, Simulink, Fixed Point vs. Floating Point)Experience with Sensors and Digital Signal ProcessingExperience with safety critical designs (DO-254)Experience in the development and implementation of processes to ensure product development efficiency and accuracyA proven track record of leading a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program OfficesExperienced with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, such as Siemens Teamcenter Enterprise or Teamcenter Unified Architecture (UA) or Tc AW – Active Workspace used for hardware designs.Experienced with failure analysis techniques and methods (RCCAs)Technical project management with budget/EVMS experienceExperience with technical proposalsKnowledge of engineering planning, scheduling, metrics, earned value systems, and workload forecastingPrimary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
