This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located onsite in Santa Rosa, CA.Essential Functions:Performs functions associated with all thin film coating operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, chamber foiling, coating, and analyzing and inspecting.Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct adjustments to instruments and equipment.Ability to follow critical work instructions for assigned platform (past and present) and related analytical equipment.Works with engineers in conducting testing and process development and documentation.Handling and managing fragile composite materials.Help prepare calibration run-sheets, coats calibration runs, learn to analyzes results, and learn to help revise tooling factors for calibration runs.Adhere to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines and regulationsWork and communicate over ambient noiseWork in a variety of work spaces/positions. Work spaces may include but are not limited to small, enclosed spaces, awkward, and elevated spaces.
