Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an Principal Program Cost Scheduling Control Analyst for our Elkton, Maryland location.The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA.Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. This position will work very closely with Northrop Grumman program management, operational leaders, and internal and external customers.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following tasks:Develop from inception, maintain and deliver a monthly integrated master plan and schedule (IMP/IMS) through completion to meet project IMS objectivesIntegrate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), statement of Work (SOW), Teams, Deliverables, and resources into the Master Schedule in an efficient and timely mannerSupport Material Program Manager and Supply Chain in the management of program supplier base through the IMS and provide daily monitoring and status to the PM for critical path tasks dailyInput EVMS requirements and reports to financial control as required.Support the preparation of monthly operational review packagesWorking with the program team to integrate project cost with scheduled activity.Providing monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to support business processes.Assist in planning and forecasting program schedule and cost performance. Prepare future strategic plans.Serving as a resource to management in understanding results by reporting and investigating variances.Analyzing business processes and making recommendations to improve process efficiency and support continuous improvement.Identifying potential profit impacts to programs, and making recommendations for mitigation and improving profit marginPreparing and tracking key performance metrics to direct managementBasic Requirements Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst:This position emphasized skills and experience. Must have 9 or more years of scheduling experience in lieu of degree. Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years of experience; or Master' degree in related field with 3 years of experience.Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and databases (e.g. MS Office applications).Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with others.Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills.Independent self-starter and proactive contributor. Seeks to continually improve business processes and add value.Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines. Organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format.Must be able to work onsite in Elkton, MDPreferred Requirements:Prior team participation experience (professional/community/extracurricular)Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groupsAerospace and/or DoD intern/working experienceKnowledge of Earned value management systems (EVMS)Experience executing programs with contractual EVMS requirements.Prior Experience with Deltek applications (CostPoint, Cobra, OpenPlan, PM Compass).Experience with business intelligence platforms and tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
