Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Principal Project Management/ Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team.The Principal Project Management/ Sr. Principal Project Management directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer communityDeveloping new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plansLeading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectivesMeasuring and reporting program performanceDelivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholdersParticipating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.Creation, review and finalization of the program Statement of WorkIdentification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirementsEstablishment and management of the program and subordinate baselinesIdentifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planningAdherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standardsEnsuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities Development and adherence to master plans and schedulesConducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realizationLead develop and submit cross functional proposals.This position can be filled at a Principal Project Management/ Sr. Principal Project Management level.Basic Qualifications for the Principal Project Management:Bachelor's degree and 5 years, or master’s and 3 years’ of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Project Management:Bachelor's degree and 8 years, or master’s and 6 years’ of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.Preferred Qualifications for the Principal Project Management and Sr. Principal Project Management:Experience with compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards.Experience with Government Contracts and related documents.Experience continuous process improvement.Experience managing proposals.Experience with information assurance regulations and practices.Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
