Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Manager to support our hardware design and development team with overall execution on a restricted program located in Melbourne, FL.This role requires a candidate skilled in the core competencies of project management, specifically risk and opportunity management and change management.The successful candidate will support the team lead in day to day execution, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure cost, schedule, and technical objectives are being met. They will work with leadership to gather performance metrics and execution status for presentation at internal checks and reviews, preparing briefing material for both customers and leadership. The successful candidate should possess enough technical acumen and situational awareness to ensure seamless integration with other teams to achieve program objectives.This role is in person supporting 9/80 work schedule at our Melbourne, FL site and requires an active or in scope security clearance to start.Responsibilities:Work closely with program leadership to ensure continuous on-time delivery of capabilitiesFacilitate weekly heading checks and regular communications to keep all affected parties informed of progress, changes and issuesIntegrate cost, schedule, and technical requirements and identify risks and opportunities throughout executionManage multiple work packages and support team leads and CAMs through the business management cycleParticipate in Risk and Opportunity ManagementParticipate in proposal activities for new projectsProvide upwards reporting for senior management program reviewsParticipate in process improvement initiatives and the change management processBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 5 Years of experience in project management (or equivalent military experience); OR Master's Degree with 3 Years of project management experienceExperience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MSProject)Current in scope US Government Secret Clearance and the ability to attain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Agile methodologyExperience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environmentProficiency in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques, which includes program cost and schedule managementStrong teamwork and communication skills to ensure changes to plans are fully understoodAbility to influence and drive results without direct authority of personnelStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to organize, balance, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic aerospace environmentAbility to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity, creativity, and participation of internal and/or external personnel & teamsPrimary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
