This position will be located in Melbourne, FL and will be based within our office spaces to support the program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall development of communications subsystems, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements, Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze network architectures and topologies for distributed communication applicationsConduct trade studies for radio and ICS subsystem architectures.Interaction with Comms suppliers for integration of Radio and ICS systems into the lab.Support development and integration of communications subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectivesPerforming risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closureDeveloping and maintaining supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, statements of work and Interface Control Documents.Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewsSupport technical discussions with the customer and have daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams**This position can be filled at either a Principal Electronics Engineer level or a Sr. Principal Electronics level, depending upon the qualifications below. **Basic Qualifications:Principal Electronics Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1years of related engineering experienceSr. Principal: Bachelor’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of related professional/military experience.Experience in one or more of the following:Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experienceDemonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed mannerMust have an active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the companyAbility to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience in supplier/subcontract managementExperience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of workExperience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionAbility to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
