Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Test Engineer level 2 to work with a team of engineers to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis. This role will involve developing and maintaining procedures, and reports with minimal supervision. The candidate will be working in a cross functional team to coordinate test efforts amongst program stakeholders and test results. This position will require travel to support the test program of the AARGM and AARGM ER LRIP Production programs.The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test and Evaluation Engineering department, Advanced Weapons division. This role is 100% on site at our Northridge, Ca site with no remote or hybrid opportunities. Active Secret Clearance required to start.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for data summary, distribution, and test report authorship.Work with internal and external customers to define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning including acquisition, processing, and analysis to satisfy test objectivesProficient in the use of Logic Analyzers, Software Based Debugging tools, In-Circuit Emulators, RF Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal GeneratorsContinually improve processes to address deficiencies and best practicesDevelop and maintain test plans, test data, test reports, and test proceduresPerform data collection and use of reduction tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Excel,Troubleshoot production failures and return units to operations for testsPerform trend analysis of common failures and contribute to corrective actionsPresent metrics and status to upper managementBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 5 years of experience OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.Experience with using different test equipment, i.e. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMM, signal generator, power suppliesAbility to read electrical and mechanical schematicsActive government issued Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipmentExperience using Microsoft OfficeAble to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findingsAble to work independently with minimal direction and act as team lead for larger test effortsExperience in writing test plans and test reportsAble to present technical data to upper managementPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
