Job Description

Application Engineer – Automotive MCU (2027 NCG Campus Hire)Location: Shanghai / Chongqing, ChinaResponsibilitiesCollaborate with leading automotive customers, field application engineers, marketing, and sales teams to understand system requirements and support application development based on NXP automotive MCU solutions.Participate in the development of embedded software, evaluation platforms, reference designs, application notes, and technical collateral for automotive applications.Assist customers in debugging, integration, and technical issue analysis related to MCU hardware, software, and automotive systems.Support technical workshops, customer trainings, and internal knowledge-sharing activities.Explore and evaluate emerging automotive technologies and application trends, including automotive safety, security, zonal architecture, and vehicle networking.Work closely with global engineering teams to help customers accelerate development and successfully adopt NXP solutions.Build technical expertise in automotive microcontrollers, embedded systems, and software platforms through project experience and continuous learning.Basic Requirements2027 graduate in:Electrical EngineeringElectronics EngineeringMicroelectronicsComputer ScienceEmbedded SystemsAutomotive EngineeringSoftware Engineeringor related disciplinesSolid fundamentals in embedded systems and programming.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.Good written and verbal English communication skills.Willingness to travel when required.Preferred QualificationsCandidates with experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas are highly preferred:Microcontrollers (MCU), SoC architecture, and on-chip peripheralsEmbedded C/C++ software developmentRTOS, device drivers, interrupt handling, multi-core systems, or operating systemsAutomotive software and standards, including:AUTOSARFunctional Safety (ISO 26262)Automotive CybersecurityIn-Vehicle Networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)Hardware design, debugging, and lab instrumentationSoftware development tools such as Git, IDEs, debuggers, or scripting languages (Python preferred)AI applications in embedded or automotive systemsTechnical presentations, competitions, research projects, or open-source contributionsWhat We Look ForPassion for automotive and embedded technologiesStrong learning agility and growth mindsetCustomer-oriented attitudeAbility to work effectively in a global and multicultural environmentInitiative, ownership, and willingness to take on challengesDesire to grow into a trusted technical expert supporting leading automotive customers in ChinaMore information about NXP in Greater China...#LI-67af

  • Solid fundamentals in embedded systems and programming. (experience)
