Business Line Description:NXP’s Front End Operations plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring manufacturing excellence and delivery of high quality, scalable, and cost-competitive semiconductor devices to create a winning advantage for our customers. Job Summary:Equipment Engineer responsible for CVD in a high-volume manufacturing facilityIdentify and reduce sources of variationReduce machine faultsReduce defectivityDefine and write tool maintenance proceduresImprove tool availability, improve Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)Train technicians and peersImprove cost performanceSpecify, source and qualify new equipment and partsParticipate on and/or lead cross functional teamsSupport development and transfer activitiesKey Challenges:Ability to work in a high volume 24x7 manufacturing environmentAbility to work individually, in small work groups or larger teamsAbility to deal with multiple issues and shifting prioritiesMust be self-motivated; able to take initiative, self-generate projects, and effectively prioritize workWilling to adjust work schedule as needed to support factory priorities 24x7Be responsible for multiple tools across multiple platformsCross functional aspects:Work with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Facilities, Analytical Lab and Device Engineering TeamsWork with peers in other factories to implement Best Known Methods (BKM)Job Qualifications:BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline6+ years of experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment preferredPrevious experience in at least one or more of the following tools is preferred: Applied Materials Centura DXZ, Producer or P5000, Novellus Concept 2, WJ-999Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failuresDemonstrated presentation skills. Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline (experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred (experience, 6 years)
  • Previous experience in at least one or more of the following tools is preferred: Applied Materials Centura DXZ, Producer or P5000, Novellus Concept 2, WJ-999 (experience)
  • Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures (experience)
  • Demonstrated presentation skills. Candidate will be called upon to train others and present complex datasets and equipment problems/ solutions to diverse audiences. (experience)
