Job Description

For our Business Line Secure Transactions & Interfaces (STI) in France, we are now looking for a Digital FPGA Platform Leader. This role is part of the System on Chips (SoC’s) Design & Integration Team within STI offering solutions for Secure Mobility and Retail, Secure Payment and Identity, IoT security, NFC infrastructure and Secure Embedded transactions. This Team is tasked with delivering High Quality solutions for Mobile Transactions (Mobile payment and security solutions for smart phones, watches and labtops) to demanding Mobile customers. STI goal is to become Market Leader by leveraging its unique IP portfolio from NFC, Secure Elements, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth products to deliver solutions better than the sum of its parts. A commitment to one-time delivery and strong focus on design quality is the foundation of all we do. The Team is involved in all Hardware and Software aspects of the design from Specifications to Tape-Out, validation, ramp to production and customer support.Your responsibilitiesAs a key member of the team, you will actively contribute to the verification and validation of our SoC's functionality and performance. And you will be responsible for:the development of the FPGA verification platforms and the delivery of this platform to customers within the Design and Project teams (Verification, Validation, Software teams) and to external customers,the Interface to Firmware and Software, Architecture, Design teams as well as End Users to understand Product Use Cases and requirements,the FPGA strategy definition for the Design as a function of its Architecture, the expected Use Cases, the limitations of the technology and the schedule constraints,the methodology development for handling on non-digital components within the FPGA (Analog blocks, Non Volatile memories, …),the work with Design, Verification, Validation, Firmware and Software teams to debug and correct issues or identify work-arounds,the development drive of external boards and interfaces when needed,the regular report and updates of the Design and Platform to the customers,the support of large numbers of distributed users using FPGA farm or other means.Your profile Degree/Masters in Electronic and/or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of experienceKnowledge of the entire FPGA flow from RTL through partitioning and synthesis and generation of bitfiles for loading onto FPGAExpertise in debugging of designs on FPGA, using external debuggers, special builds and other techniquesnderstanding of the architecture, elements and functionality of SoC’s, including CPUs, DMA, MMU, PLL, memory and peripheral interfacesExperience in development of FPGAs containing significant analog content is a bonusUnderstanding of software development process for embedded CPUs and experience in developing and debugging softwareExpertise in the use of EDA tools for FPGA synthesisExperience with debug on designs pre- and post-silicon, in simulation and on the benchYour personal traitsRigorous and methodical with good analytical skillsFlexible and adaptable with an ability to verify and validate, and debug at several levels and on many different platformsPaying attention to details, tenacity/pugnacity in tracing, finding and solving problemsAbility to question and identify weaknesses in written specification, tools environment, …Good team player “working together” with ability to work across teams and sitesGood communication skills both verbal and in writingWe offer an energizing working environment with an excellent team active with cutting-edge technology, you will become part of NXP Semiconductors N.V. Responsibilities
