Your teamOur Systems & Applications (S&A) team of the Product Line "In-Vehicle Networking" (PL-IVN) forms the interface between research and development of innovative architectures and system technologies in the field of vehicle connectivity. The location of this vacancy is Hamburg, Germany.Your tasks and responsibilitiesResponsible to contribute and drive next generation CAN/LIN products definitions and evaluations incl. 48V robustness from systems engineering perspectiveCreate evaluation setups, perform and document robustness, bench-, and network evaluationsActivity alignment within own functional team and Design / Test Engineering / Marketing teamsCreate customer documentation e.g., application notes, data sheets, technical presentationsUnderstand and support automotive customer applications, deriving product requirementsDrive customer support-related investigations and recommendations on system levelWork cross-site, cross-cultural, and in cross-functional teamsContribution to functional group improvement activitiesRequired and desired skills and experienceKnowledge of Automotive semiconductor market, Automotive electronics and applicationsProven system knowledge on CAN/LIN in-vehicle communication protocols and networksGood and applied knowledge of electrical measurement techniques and product evaluationEagerness and passion to work in Automotive contextExperiences in dealing with customers on technical levelHW / SW / Embedded Systems / Microcontroller experienceProgramming skills in Python, C, or C++Your education and personalityDegree in Electrical Engineering or a related field2+ years of relevant experienceGood communication skills, both verbal and in writing; English, German of advantageShow initiative, creativity, flexibility, and drive for resultsInspired by working in a dynamic and international teamPlease note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Automotive semiconductor market, Automotive electronics and applications (experience)
  • Proven system knowledge on CAN/LIN in-vehicle communication protocols and networks (experience)
  • Good and applied knowledge of electrical measurement techniques and product evaluation (experience)
  • Eagerness and passion to work in Automotive context (experience)
  • Experiences in dealing with customers on technical level (experience)
  • HW / SW / Embedded Systems / Microcontroller experience (experience)
  • Programming skills in Python, C, or C++ (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to contribute and drive next generation CAN/LIN products definitions and evaluations incl. 48V robustness from systems engineering perspective
  • Create evaluation setups, perform and document robustness, bench-, and network evaluations
  • Activity alignment within own functional team and Design / Test Engineering / Marketing teams
  • Create customer documentation e.g., application notes, data sheets, technical presentations
  • Understand and support automotive customer applications, deriving product requirements
  • Drive customer support-related investigations and recommendations on system level
