Department: Ethics & ComplianceReporting to: Chief Ethics and Global Compliance OfficerWe are seeking an experienced lawyer to serve as NXP’s Regulatory Counsel within NXP’s Ethics & Compliance team. In this role, you will help NXP anticipate, understand and respond to evolving regulatory requirements impacting NXP’s business with speed. Your focus on Europe/EMEA and selected cross‑regional topics. You will own key elements of NXP’s regulatory intelligence framework and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders (including Government Affairs, subject matter experts across functions and the business) to drive pragmatic, innovative and risk‑based compliance outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory monitoring: monitor regulatory developments (new laws and revisions), lead regulatory intake and logging.Regulatory intelligence: provide legal interpretation or regulations and obligations, advise on regulatory applicability, risk exposure and legal consequences.Strategic regulatory partnership: Work closely with the Government Affairs team and other relevant stakeholders to proactively identify regulatory changes that require strategic decisions, policy advocacy and coordinated internal and regulatory engagement.Regulatory monitoring tool: own NXP's regulatory monitor tool and ensure NXP's technical capability to monitor relevant regulatory changes. Stakeholder engagement and oversight: Identify and work with key stakeholders to create awareness of new and revised compliance requirements; support risk impact assessments, compliance gap analyses and track progress toward compliance, escalate issues and delays as appropriate.Regulatory engagement: Act as the key legal contact for interactions with regulators and external counsel in EMEA.QualificationsLaw degree (LLM) in an EMEA jurisdiction.Approximately +15 years of relevant experience to include: regulatory/compliance advisory work, ideally in a multinational, technology or semiconductor environment.Demonstrated ability to monitor and interpret complex, evolving regulatory requirements and convert them into clear, actionable, pragmatic guidance for business stakeholders.Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, international organization.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.Preferred AttributesExperience with regulatory intelligence and/or regulatory change management programs and tools.Familiarity with regulatory areas relevant to semiconductors and connected ecosystems (e.g., cybersecurity and ICT regulation, product compliance/origin related requirements, and broader technology governance topics).Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving regulatory environment.Pragmatic, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong business acumen and sound judgment.Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing without formal authority.We are looking for someone who combines legal expertise with speed, innovation and ownership: acting decisively, improving how we work and taking ownership for meaningful compliance outcomes.If you are excited by the opportunity to help shape and operationalize NXP’s regulatory response in a rapidly evolving environment, we would like to hear from you.More information about NXP in the Netherlands...#LI-c856
