Our TeamThe SERDES Networking Solutions (SNS) team within NXP develops transceivers for in-vehicle networking (IVN) with data rates from 2Gbs to 16Gps. These transceivers deploy sophisticated analog and digital design to provide video, audio, control and Ethernet connectivity within the vehicle.Your role We are looking for a Principal Digital Design Engineer to join our team of engineers who define and implement new capabilities for our transceivers. Your responsibilities Lead team of engineers to design, implement and support in-vehicle networking devices as part of NXP’s Automotive product lineManage day-to-day performance of junior engineering team membersDefine block requirements and architecture, optimizing for area, power and timing, implementing functional safety requirements, and coordinating with verification and validation teams to comply with automotive design processesDocumentation - Create robust design documentation to clearly communicate design intent to team membersImplementation - Implement design intent in SystemVerilog or ChiselCollaboration - Work closely with Architecture, digital and analog design, DV and validation teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products.Your profile B.S./M.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar degrees)Experience as a chip lead, architect or subsystem lead in leading digital design teams to meet design parametersProven track record of multiple successful tape-outs covering the complete chip design lifecycle in industry.Experience in silicon design, including synthesis, static timing closure, and DFTFluent in SystemVerilog or VHDL and an object-oriented software languageExpertise desired in Ethernet networking, automotive design processes, embedded ARM or RISC-V processors, and ChiselHands on experience in debug and silicon bringupCreating Secure Connections and Infrastructure for a Smarter WorldNXP Semiconductors N.V.
