Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:Draw concepts from wireless communication theory to devise and construct suitable experiments to test performance and identify system deficiencies with respect to physical layer metrics like transmit EVM, mask, packet error rate, interference rejection, etc.Support the evaluation and debug effort as silicon is characterized via various cycles of quality assurance all the way through productionEvaluate results, identify root-cause deficiencies, and develop improvements to design wherever applicableDevelop automation tools and/or software using C/C++ or similar programming language to automate performance evaluation and data extraction and analysisSupport PHY layer algorithm design and bit-true verification with the digital teamQualifications:Ph.D. + 6 years or M.S.E.E. +8 years of experience working in the wireless communications industryUnderstand the fundamentals of Signal Processing and Digital CommunicationsFluent in MATLAB and/or C/C++, with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHands-on experience in the bring-up and characterization of silicon, including use of lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.)Familiar with MIMO and OFDM technologies; experience with IEEE 802.11 or similar wireless standards (4GLTE/ 5G NR) is desirableDesirable to have scripting and automation skillsMore information about NXP in India...#LI-29f4
