Agency:TargetbaseJob Function:FinanceJob Subfunction: Financial Planning and AnalysisJob Description:JOB SCOPE & PURPOSEThe Client Finance Analyst supports the Senior Director, Finance and Client Engagement teammates in business financial reporting, analysis, and financial management across multiple accounts and client workstreams.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate closely with account leaders team to effectively manage client financialsProactively consult account lead & team on current and trending business performance and client financials, and make recommendations for growth, portfolio health and overall fiscal performance to drive results and align with company goalsManage client billing process and reportingReview and approve client contracts and Statement of Work (SOW) pricingWork strategically with account leads to ensure healthy client financials, portfolio performance, expense-planning, KPI performance, and company & corporate governance adherencePartner with Account & Project Management teams in revenue projection assembly and revisionsAssist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entriesExecute Accounts Payable function, including invoice coding and vendor disbursementsPrepare and analyze financial reports such as general ledger actuals, Statement of Work (SOW) tracking, and client reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principlesPartner closely with Account leaders to ensure healthy cash flow managementAssist in setting & driving performance goals for assigned client accounts/book of businessAssist with internal and external auditsAd-hoc reporting & analysis for the Finance or Account team, as needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree Finance or Accounting required with 2-4 years of professional work experiencePrior experience translating complex financials clearly and concisely to a variety of internal and external audiencesHands on experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics AX, D365, IBM Planning Analytics experience requiredMicrosoft Office expertise (with heavy emphasis on Excel)Cognos and/or HFM experience nice to haveExperience with process and financial system improvement is preferredExperience in professional services firms and/or ‘billable hours’ environment is highly preferredKNOWLEDGE & ABILITYEffective communicator; capable of working with external client leadersProactive, organized, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethicAble to multitask, prioritize work, and meet multiple deadlinesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPOSITION REQUIREMENTSOvertime as necessaryHybrid work scheduleWe work a hybrid schedule - 3 days in office and 2 days working from home. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with account leaders team to effectively manage client financials
  • Proactively consult account lead & team on current and trending business performance and client financials, and make recommendations for growth, portfolio health and overall fiscal performance to drive results and align with company goals
  • Manage client billing process and reporting
  • Review and approve client contracts and Statement of Work (SOW) pricing
  • Work strategically with account leads to ensure healthy client financials, portfolio performance, expense-planning, KPI performance, and company & corporate governance adherence
  • Partner with Account & Project Management teams in revenue projection assembly and revisions

  • Execute Accounts Payable function, including invoice coding and vendor disbursements
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports such as general ledger actuals, Statement of Work (SOW) tracking, and client reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
  • Partner closely with Account leaders to ensure healthy cash flow management
  • Assist in setting & driving performance goals for assigned client accounts/book of business
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Ad-hoc reporting & analysis for the Finance or Account team, as needed
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree Finance or Accounting required with 2-4 years of professional work experience
  • Prior experience translating complex financials clearly and concisely to a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics AX, D365, IBM Planning Analytics experience required
  • Microsoft Office expertise (with heavy emphasis on Excel)
  • Cognos and/or HFM experience nice to have
  • Experience with process and financial system improvement is preferred
  • Experience in professional services firms and/or ‘billable hours’ environment is highly preferred
