Primary Focus of Role As a VP, Medical Director, you will make science meaningful by creatively translating data and driving strategic thinking for key brands and providing leadership within the Medical and Scientific Affairs department as well as the agency at large. Responsibilities: • Serve as a therapeutic category expert • Stay up to date on groundbreaking scientific developments and their medical implications • Translate complex scientific concepts and data while providing a strategic point of view • Partner with Account and Creative brand leadership to drive brand strategy • Work collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure pull-through of strategy in all communications and/or tactics • Work closely with Copy to ensure scientific and therapeutic relevance • Act as a liaison between the agency and key consultants/opinion leaders/medical clients • Collaborate with Account Services to manage client relationships • Fully participate in new business pitches while also identifying business growth opportunities for existing brands Qualifications and experience: • Candidates must have an advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) • Must have 3-5 years of experience in the health care communications space. This experience is required. • Specific expertise and experience in oncology is required • Must be able to present yourself, the agency, and your recommendations in an articulate, dynamic, and professional manner • Requires a strong desire to drive strategic development, and immerse him/herself in a variety of new assignments Come join us!
