Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a hands-on Materials Supply Chain Management, Principal (IC4) to support materials planning, manufacturing coordination, and supply execution across OCI’s global cloud infrastructure and data center deployment operations. This execution-focused individual contributor role for someone who understands how products are built, how materials flow through manufacturing, and how to validate whether a build plan is truly executable. The ideal candidate will act as a strong coordinator across manufacturing, supply planning, engineering, and procurement teams. Someone with a keen eye who can identify gaps, challenge commitments, and escalate material or capacity issues when actual execution is not aligned with plan. The successful candidate will partner closely with Contract Manufacturers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Planning, and Data Center Operations to ensure material readiness, validate clean-to-build status, and drive issue resolution that supports OCI’s deployment priorities. Must be in the Santa Clara/San Jose, CA area. Materials Planning & ExecutionValidate material readiness and clean-to-build (CTB) status for planned production.Partner with Supply Planning and Demand Planning teams to align material availability with forecasted demand and near-term build requirements.Monitor material shortages, late commits, and production constraints at contract manufacturers and drive resolution with the appropriate teams.Review manufacturing plans and identify when supply, material, or capacity constraints are putting delivery commitments at risk.Support inventory planning and material positioning to maintain supply continuity while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.Ensure timely execution of material flow to support rack and infrastructure delivery requirements.Contract Manufacturer & Supplier CoordinationWork closely with Contract Manufacturers, ODMs, and suppliers to track material availability, production readiness, and capacity commitments.Validate whether manufacturing partners are meeting plan and identify root causes when actual output falls below commitment.Escalate material gaps, capacity misses, and execution risks to the broader cross-functional team for resolution.Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly supply and capacity reviews with manufacturing partners.Monitor material management practices at manufacturing and warehouse locations to improve control and accountability.Manufacturing & Operational CoordinationPartner with Manufacturing and Operations teams to understand production constraints and validate build assumptions.Support clean-to-build analysis by confirming whether all required materials, components, and capacities are available for execution.Coordinate with Engineering, Product Operations, Commodity Management, and Deployment teams to resolve operational blockers.Support new product introduction and ramp activities by ensuring material and production readiness.Help improve execution discipline across the supply chain through tighter tracking, follow-up, and issue resolution.Risk Management & Process ImprovementIdentify material shortages, supplier issues, and operational bottlenecks that may impact production or deployment schedules.Drive mitigation actions such as alternate sourcing, recovery planning, buffering strategies, or escalation to leadership.Track operational metrics related to material availability, supplier performance, inventory health, and manufacturing execution.Recommend process improvements that strengthen supply chain visibility, planning accuracy, and execution reliability.Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as a key point of coordination across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Deployment teams.Communicate risks, gaps, and recovery actions clearly to stakeholders and leadership.Build strong working relationships across global teams to support rapid problem solving and execution.Contribute to broader supply chain scaling efforts as OCI continues to grow.Required QualificationsExperience8+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain operations, manufacturing planning, or related functions.Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and manufacturing operations.Strong background in inventory control, production scheduling, materials planning, and supply chain execution.Experience supporting hardware manufacturing, cloud infrastructure, networking, server, or high-tech environments preferred.Experience with new product introduction, manufacturing ramp, or execution recovery preferred.Technical & Functional SkillsStrong understanding of materials management, manufacturing operations, inventory control, and supply chain planning.Ability to validate clean-to-build and identify material or capacity blockers.Experience with ERP, MRP, or supply chain management systems.Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify issues and drive action.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight timelines.Leadership & CommunicationStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Effective communicator who can drive alignment across cross-functional teams.Proven ability to solve operational problems through structured analysis and follow-through.Ability to influence without direct authority across global teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience in cloud infrastructure, hyperscale, or data center operations environments.Familiarity with manufacturing execution, capacity planning, or supply chain process optimization.Experience with Oracle ERP or Oracle Supply Chain applications preferred.
