Job Description

We are seeking a leadership-focused Manager to oversee our on-site team of Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) and Operations Program Managers (OPMs) embedded at our Contract Manufacturer (CM) facility. In this role, you will be the ultimate owner of factory floor execution, technical health, and delivery timelines for our high-volume server and rack hardware infrastructure. You will manage the relationship with senior CM leadership, clear roadblocks for your team, and ensure that our technical and operational standards are met with zero compromise. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & People ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing on-site team of MEs, Test Engineers, and Sustaining OPMs.Set clear performance goals, conduct reviews, and manage resource allocation across active lines.Foster a collaborative, problem-solving culture within the embedded team.On-Site CM Partnership & EscalationAct as the primary technical and operational point of contact for senior CM factory management.Hold the CM strictly accountable to operational KPIs, line capacity agreements, and quality commitments.Serve as the ultimate escalation point for on-site production stalls, critical part shortages, or engineering conflicts.Technical & Program ExecutionOversee factory floor stability, assembly workflows, line balancing, and automated test environments for servers and racks.Ensure your team seamlessly reviews, approves, and rolls out Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with zero unplanned factory downtime or scrap.Direct root-cause failure analysis for complex hardware defects and track First Pass Yield (FPY) metrics.Partner with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to smoothly transition new server architectures into mature, high-volume manufacturing.Communication/Relationship ManagementInfluence: Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to influence global cross-functional partners and external vendors.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to executives.
