Job Description

This is an onsite position in Odessa, TX The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the organization. This role will work extensively with VMware virtualization environments, Veeam backup and recovery solutions, Active Directory administration, and storage platforms, with Pure Storage experience considered a strong plus. The engineer will support and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments, including Citrix-based solutions, and collaborate closely with networking and security teams; experience with Palo Alto firewalls is highly desirable. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills, sound judgment in production environments, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional IT team. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in maintaining, upgrading, and evolving the organization’s core infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security across enterprise systems. This position is responsible for upgrading and supporting server environments, assisting with major core infrastructure initiatives, and administering platforms including VMware, Veeam, and Active Directory, with experience in Pure Storage considered a strong asset. The engineer will support and optimize VDI environments, including Citrix technologies, and collaborate closely with networking and security teams; experience with Palo Alto firewalls is highly desirable. Familiarity with infrastructure visibility and automation tools such as Infoblox, Faddom, and NetBrain is considered a plus. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, operates confidently in production environments, and contributes effectively within a highly collaborative IT team.
