Job Description

A Senior Software Development Manager (Senior SDM) at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is responsible for delivering cloud services at scale while leading multiple engineering teams, managers, or a large organization of engineers. The role extends well beyond people management and includes technical strategy, execution, operational excellence, and cross-organizational leadership. 1. Engineering LeadershipA Senior SDM:Leads one or more engineering teams (often 20 to 100+ engineers through managers and technical leads).Hires, mentors, and develops engineering managers and senior engineers.Builds a high-performance engineering culture.Conducts performance reviews, promotions, succession planning, and career development.Resolves organizational issues and improves team effectiveness.2.
