Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Technical Advisor with extensive experience in software development for hyperscale cloud environments. As a trusted advisor and cloud technology expert, you will provide strategic direction, hands-on technical leadership, and mentorship, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of secure, high-performance, and cost-efficient cloud deployments. You will work collaboratively across product engineering, business stakeholders, and partners to shape strategic cloud initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer success. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic & Technical Leadership: Develop and drive cloud strategies that align with business objectives, inspire teams, and deliver measurable outcomes. Foster a growth mindset and culture of technical excellence, high performance, and continuous improvement across teams.- Deep Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and technical leadership in cloud software architecture and development. Leverage knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, cloud-native application design, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).- Solution Architecture & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and optimization of large-scale, highly available cloud solutions. Ensure security, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.- Governance, Security & Compliance: Drive adherence to cloud governance policies, industry security standards, and best practices (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, CMMC). Optimize costs and enforce high standards of compliance, reliability, and operational readiness.- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively to C-level executives, internal teams, and external partners. Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to influence technology adoption and business decisions.- Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor and coach engineering and delivery teams, advocate for software engineering best practices and cloud-native development. Partner with diverse cross-functional groups to ensure solution readiness and supportability.- Case and Program Management: Own or contribute to critical case management, technical triage, and wellness reviews. Identify and address readiness gaps, escalate issues, and support continuous process improvements.- Innovation & Change Agility: Champion creative problem solving, foster an entrepreneurial approach, and lead innovation in cloud products and processes. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.- 7+ years of technical enterprise experience, focusing on large-scale software development, complex cloud deployments, debugging, and technical problem-solving.- 4+ years of hands-on cloud experience with modern cloud architectures and coding.- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.- Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container platforms, and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).- Strong grasp of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues, work in highly collaborative, ambiguous environments, and deliver customer-focused solutions.- Outstanding written and verbal communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in a technical field.- Recognized industry certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, OCI Architect, Google Cloud Architect).- Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and supportability improvements.- Background in technical coaching, case analysis, and process innovation.- Familiarity with Oracle’s product ecosystem, cloud-first principles, and customer-centric delivery models is highly desirable.
