This position will require a business savvy individual with a strong technical background in security platform, application architecture, and sales coupled with a successful track record in team management.Your Impact:Collaborate strategically with the Solution Consulting and Sales leadership teams to align technical initiatives with enterprise-wide sales objectives Lead and optimize technical pre-sales operations, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that contribute to individual, team, and organizational goals.Engage at a senior technical level with customers and partners and provide valuable insight into industry trends, customer challenges, technical evolutions, and business changes that will help the customer make their security decisionsDeeply understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges faced by our prospects and customers that the Palo Alto Networks solution addresses within CortexEnsure effective technical strategy is being executed across the teams to deliver compelling business-focused solutions that address customers' security needs within Cortex Develop and champion outcome-oriented technical initiatives that drive pipeline and sales, partnering closely with the Solution Consulting leadership team to enhance technical efficiency and success. Cultivate and maintain strong technical relationships with Palo Alto Networks’ partners (reseller, distribution, system integrators, and alliances), driving and measuring initiatives to improve technical sales productivity through partner enablement and collaborationLead portfolio expansion initiatives from a technical perspective, demonstrating factual results through the successful adoption and upsell of strategic security solutions.Ensure technical teams develop deep expertise and utilize knowledge to drive growth, high technical win rate, and high Proof of Value Win Rate within Cortex. Metric-based results should be evident across all areas of focusTransparently report and highlight the successes and areas for improvement of technical initiatives within CortexChampion pristine technical talent management, including demonstrated development plans and execution for technical personnel, initiatives to reduce attrition, and a clear history of promotions and technical successOperate effectively in a matrixed environment with extended technical and non-technical teams, such as Support, WW SE, Product Management, Research & Development, and other relevant organizations, to resolve complex technical issues and drive innovationAct as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise within CortexDevelop, mentor, manage, and support reporting Domain Consultants with technical and organizational leadershipManage successful technical evaluations and proof-of-value, ensuring timely completion (PoV duration) while achieving a high POV win rate Qualifications A minimum combination of 8 years of first and/or second line, Domain Consulting management experience preferred Domain expertise in the areas of SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or endpoint environmentsDomain expertise in the areas of public cloud architectures, cloud native security models, CI/CD, DevOps, firewalls, and other security technologies both from a technology and a business driver standpointIndustry knowledge of application development, cloud, security operations market trendsReputation with the solution consulting teams, customers and partners as a trusted advisor who will always take care of their needsPossess a combination of management, technical and business skills - A challenger sales mentality and a fast-growing mindset are a mustIndustry knowledge of security product market trends and directional awareness of Palo Alto Network’s roadmap and technology development effortsKnowledge of how to deliver comprehensive security solutions to PAN’s customer base, and maintains a general understanding of competitive selling strategiesDemonstrated experience in working directly with customers at senior levels within an organization, as well as working with industry partners and alliancesPossess the intellect and the executive presence to become a true business partner across functions50% TravelAn articulate, social individual that can translate a highly technical solution in simple business terms and develop relationships with decision-makersHighly commercial in orientation, with a strong focus on the customer and a clear commitment to generating topline growthLeading by example, this individual, when necessary, will not hesitate to get into the details of the businessHighly autonomous individual that can lead a cross-functional project from the ground up and make things happenDecisive leader with a passion for the business and a real sense of urgencyStrategic thinking - To plan and build and other sales and marketing leaders - There will also be a close collaboration with the product teamOur Commitment We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo.
