Department OverviewThe Product Development Division is responsible for the full lifecycle of payment systems, including planning, design, development, and operation. We develop and operate high-traffic, mission-critical systems by leveraging the synergy of the Rakuten Group. In this department, we handle the design, management, and improvement of database infrastructure. To support service growth, we promote architecture improvements and cloud migration.Position:Why We HireAs our service continues to grow (more users and transactions), we are accelerating system upgrades and Cloud Shift / Lift (On-Premise to Public Cloud). We are looking for engineers who can go beyond basic operations and contribute to database optimization, scalability improvement, and cloud-native transformation. Position DetailsYou will be responsible for the design, management, and improvement of our database infrastructure. This role is not only about operations. You will also work on improving performance and availability for large-scale systems, and be involved in architecture design when needed.
