Job Description:Department OverviewRakuten Mobile is currently focusing heavily on its enterprise business. Our Partner Sales Department is responsible for creating and expanding business through our partners (MVNOs or sales agencies). We lead the transformation of the telecommunications industry, based on the unique and innovative technology platform realized by Rakuten Mobile.Business Incubation SectionThe Business Incubation Section, which is recruiting for this position, collaborates with our business partners-MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) providers-to acquire corporate enterprise lines. MVNOs are telecommunications carriers that provide new value to the world by combining their own services and sales channels with Rakuten Mobile's services.Because there are as many different needs as there are partners, we hold a variety of functions to meet them. We provide thorough training for those who are not familiar with the telecommunications industry or the concept of MVNOs, creating an environment where even those without prior experience can thrive.Position:Why We HirePurpose, Goals, and Reasons: We are aiming to expand our service planning and business development functions to meet diverse needs, and we are in the phase of starting to consider collaborations with foreign companies for future business expansion. This position is responsible for the end-to-end strategic planning and execution of inter-carrier interconnection and roaming business with domestic and international telecommunications operators, in order to strengthen competitiveness and promote the global expansion of Rakuten Mobile's telecommunications business.You will play a vital role in supporting the foundation of our mobile network and providing users with a seamless communication experience. We are looking for candidates who have experience in these fields, those who are interested in acquiring these skills, and those who are eager to participate in new initiatives. After joining the company, we will work together to plan your specific career path, discussing your experience and aptitudes.Position DetailsSpecific duties for this positionPlanned tasks are as follows:・Analyze domestic and international telecommunications market trends, competitors, and technical trends to formulate Rakuten Mobile's interconnection and roaming strategy.・Examine and promote the introduction of optimal interconnection and roaming methods aimed at improving service quality, optimizing costs, and maximizing revenue.・Search for, evaluate, and select domestic and international carrier partners and roaming partners.・Business Negotiation and Contract Conclusion: Conduct commercial negotiations, technical requirement adjustments, and contract executions with domestic and international telecommunications operators.・Understand complex commercial models and technical specifications, leading consensus-building to achieve a win-win outcome for both parties.・Collaborate with the Legal Department, etc., to draft, review, and revise contracts.・Work closely with internal departments such as Network Technology, Service Development, Legal, and Finance to promote projects.・Share the latest information regarding interconnection and roaming internally to promote reflection in business strategies.This is a highly important position where you can play a central role in the global strategy of Rakuten Mobile, an innovative mobile carrier, and contribute directly to the growth of the business.You can build advanced business skills and industry networks through dynamic negotiations with domestic and international telecommunications operators.You will feel the reward of designing the future of telecommunications infrastructure from both business and technical perspectives, improving the user experience for Rakuten Mobile customers.You can aim for career advancement while broadening your international perspective by engaging in business development on a global scale.Work EnvironmentOrganizational structure, headcount, and staffingThe section currently consists of about 20 people, but it is expected to grow to about 30–50 people in the future. We welcome a wide range of talent, from young to mid-career professionals, those with experience doing business with foreign companies, those with experience on overseas assignments, and veterans who have successfully managed teams in difficult environments to lead them to success in light of our future organizational expansion.The team includes members with a wide range of careers, from experienced mid-career professionals to younger staff.
