We are seeking a Associate Scientist to join our Product Biochemistry group, supporting our Host Cell Protein (HCP) analytical program. In this role, you will focus on polyclonal antibody purification, ELISA method development, and related reagent generation activities that underpin our HCP impurity monitoring strategy across biologics programs.This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in enabling high-quality analytical support for process development, CMC, and regulatory filings, contributing to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Shift Requirements: Full-time, standard business hoursLocation: On-site laboratory settingFlexibility & travel: Minimal to no travel; on-site presence required to support laboratory operationsWhat you'll do:Purify polyclonal antibodies from rabbit/goat bleeds immunized with host cell protein antigens, using affinity chromatography and other standard purification workflowsOptimize and streamline purification protocols to improve yield, purity, reproducibility, and throughputSupport ELISA method development, qualification, and troubleshooting for HCP detection and quantitationPrepare, aliquot, and manage critical reagents (antibodies, conjugates, standards, buffers) to ensure consistent assay performanceDocument all experimental work in the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) in accordance with defined procedures and departmental standards, and provide documentation upon request to support internal reviews, tech transfer, or regulatory submissionsCollaborate cross-functionally with process development, QC, and analytical teams to align on reagent needs and assay performance criteriaContribute to continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and best practicesThe environment and physical rhythms of this role:This is a hands-on, on-site laboratory role centered on protein purification and immunoassay work, requiring rigorous attention to detail and consistent documentation practices.Flexibility to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel, and collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment is required.Let's find out if we're a fit:Must-haves:BS/MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science disciplineHands-on experience with protein purification (affinity chromatography, e.g., Protein A/G, antigen-affinity columns; AKTA or equivalent FPLC systems preferred)Working knowledge of ELISA and general immunoassay techniquesAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel, and maintain rigorous attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented mindsetPreferred / nice-to-haves:Prior ELN experienceStrong documentation habitsThrive today.
