We are seeking a Director, Portfolio Governance to join our Development organization, supporting portfolio-level decision-making in an onsite role. In this role, you will own and evolve our governance framework, ensuring decisions are made at the right level, with the right information, at the right time, while collaborating with senior leaders, governance chairs, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive decision quality and reduce cycle time.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Work model/flexibility: Onsite in Tarrytown, NYTravel percentage: Up to 10%Discover your role:Own and continuously evolve the governance framework to enable scalable, high-quality decision-making across the portfolioEstablish decision quality standards, ensuring options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations are clearly articulatedFacilitate governance forums to drive structured discussions and actionable outcomesDefine governance performance metrics and translate insights into a closed-loop improvement modelSynthesize governance outputs into portfolio-level insights, surfacing cross-program risks and systemic bottlenecksPartner with senior leaders and governance chairs to align priorities and reinforce governance expectationsDrive cross-forum integration to streamline escalation pathways and improve decision flowCoach and develop team members, building the skills and capabilities needed for portfolio deliveryThis role might be for you if you:Think systemically about how decisions get made and enjoy designing frameworks that scaleCommunicate with confidence and clarity in front of senior executivesBuild trust and influence across matrixed, cross-functional environmentsTranslate data and feedback into clear, actionable insightsLead and develop high-performing teams with a coaching mindsetBring a continuous-improvement mentality to complex, fast-paced workNavigate ambiguity comfortably while driving structure and disciplineThis role requires:Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, or consultingProven experience designing governance frameworks, operating models, or decision-making processesStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionExceptional executive communication and facilitation skillsDemonstrated experience leading and developing high-performance teamsNice to haves:Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)Experience leveraging technology and digital solutions (dashboards, workflow tools, analytics platforms) to enable scalable processesDoes this sound like you?
