We are seeking a Principal Scientist to join our team developing therapies for hearing loss and vestibular disorders. In this role, you will independently lead research projects and drive the development of novel therapies for inner ear disorders, while collaborating with a cross-functional team to advance translationally relevant studies.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Tarrytown, NYWork model/flexibility: OnsiteDiscover your role:Lead the design of rigorous experiments to address core questions in hearing biology that drive drug discovery and preclinical programsDevelop and characterize novel animal models to understand mechanisms of hearing loss and evaluate novel therapeuticsDesign and execute in vivo and in vitro functional assays to understand syndromic and non-syndromic hearing lossWork cross-functionally with a team to develop translationally relevant studiesAnalyze and evaluate data with rigor, presenting findings internally and externallyDraft and review protocols and articles for publication independentlyMotivate, develop, and supervise junior scientists, research associates, and other traineesThrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting readily to shifting prioritiesThis role requires:Ph.D. with a strong record of innovation and publication, plus 5+ years of relevant experienceProven expertise in drug developmentStrong ability to work both independently and in a team, communicating effectively across all levelsResilience in overcoming challenges and a rigorous approach to scientific workPreferred: managerial experiencePreferred: in vivo experimental experiencePreferred: strong understanding of human and mouse genetics and/or auditory physiologyDoes this sound like you?
