We are seeking a Precision Medicine Strategy Lead (Principal Scientist) to join our Translational Medicine organization, supporting clinical biomarker strategy for multiple clinical-stage assets across our Immunology & Inflammation, Ophthalmology, and Infectious Diseases portfolios. In this role, you will shape biomarker strategies that enable endpoint selection, indication choice, and demonstration of target engagement and mechanism of action, while collaborating with research teams, clinical development, laboratory operations, companion diagnostics, and external academic and alliance partners.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Tarrytown, NYWork model/flexibility: 4 days per weekDiscover your role:Define and champion the strategic vision and scientific rationale for clinical biomarker plans across I&I, Ophthalmology, and/or Infectious Disease programsRepresent Precision Medicine on clinical development teams, driving biomarker strategy from concept through execution and interpretationPartner with clinical and laboratory operations to implement biomarker and exploratory sample collection and analysesEnsure clinical biomarker assays are fit-for-purpose, whether developed internally or through external collaborators and CROsPresent translational project plans, biomarker data, and results to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadershipContribute high-quality Precision Medicine content to clinical protocols, study reports, data reviews, biomarker reports, and manuscripts/publicationsTranslate complex immunology and disease biology into clear, testable biomarker hypotheses and decision criteriaNavigate ambiguity and prioritize across multiple programs in a collaborative, matrixed environmentThis role requires:Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience in Immunology or a closely related field highly desirable; 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech research and/or translational clinical developmentExceptional communication skills and strong emotional intelligence, with enthusiasm for presenting to senior leadersCollaborative and innovative mindset, energized by working in a matrixed, cross-functional environmentUnderstanding of biomarker strategy in clinical development, including assay development, validation, and implementationPreferred: track record of high-impact contributions to drug development programsPreferred: experience authoring industry documents (protocols, CSRs, biomarker reports)Alternative levels will be considered commensurate with experience.Does this sound like you?
