We are seeking a Process Development Engineer III to join our Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development (PMPD) organization's Synthetic and Bioconjugation Scale-up Technologies (SBST) Analytics group, on-site in Tarrytown, NY. In this role, you will serve as the analytical lead to develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods, transfer methods, and provide troubleshooting support to advance a diverse bioconjugate pipeline.This position offers the opportunity to lead and implement analytical deliverables, working closely with bioconjugation teams and internal/external collaborators (CDMOs) to advance bioconjugate programs from development to commercialization.When & where:Shift Requirements: Full-time, standard business hoursLocation: On-site in Tarrytown, NYFlexibility & travel: Minimal to no travel; on-site presence required to support lab operations and collaboration with internal/external CDMO partnersWhat you'll do:Independently design and execute analytical testing, method development, and characterization to enable bioconjugate process developmentServe as the subject matter expert to lead and design analytical deliverables: robust method development, method transfer to internal/external receiving labs, training, and troubleshooting to move programs forwardConnect, interpret, and communicate complex results into clear, actionable next steps for technical and non-technical audiences to drive timely decisionsAuthor high-quality documentation (e.g., procedures, development and characterization reports, ELN entries) in a timely manner to support program timelinesDrive, build, and improve business workflows: documentation standardization, data digitization, and sample managementMaintain compliance with lab and environmental safety requirements and promote a safe lab environmentProactively scout, evaluate, and implement new or improved technologies for high-throughput analytics and real-time decision-makingLead equipment upkeep and troubleshooting, maintain an organized workspace, and proactively plan for lab resourcesMentor and support peers and junior team members (direct and/or indirect via matrix)The environment and physical rhythms of this role:This is a hands-on, on-site laboratory role serving as analytical lead across bioconjugate programs, requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external CDMO partners and comfort navigating complex, ambiguous problems.Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while independently driving projects forward is required.Let's find out if we're a fit:Must-haves:B.S. with 10+ years of relevant experience, M.S. with 7+ years, or recent Ph.D. with 0-3 years of relevant experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or a related fieldHands-on experience with analytical method development for antibody, bioconjugate, and/or synthetic molecules (e.g., small molecule, PEG, peptides, and/or siRNA), such as electrophoresis, HPLCs, LC-MS, UV spectroscopy, plus associated software (e.g., Empower)Hands-on experience transferring methods to internal/external labs, and troubleshootingDemonstrated experience serving as an analytical lead for bioconjugate programs, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external CDMOsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data clearly to diverse audiencesExperience drafting analytical methods, development, and characterization reports to support regulatory filingAbility to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams to persuade and drive data-based decisionsDemonstrated initiative, learning agility, and a growth mindset in a fast-paced environmentPreferred / nice-to-haves:Customer-centric mindset in providing analytical support across different phases of drug developmentExperience simplifying complex technical messages for varied audiencesThrive today.
