Job Description
The primary role of a Maintenance Technician (Moulding) is to set up, troubleshoot and maintain moulding machines and associated equipment. Work in association with Production and Engineering teams to ensure Production targets are achieved while maintaining acceptable Quality, Availability and machine Performance. Escalate and resolve moulding and tooling issues and support continuous improvement activities and projects. Ensuring compliance to ResMed’s Quality, OH&S, GMP policies and regulatory requirements.Let’s talk about ResponsibilitiesPrepare and install mould tooling for production runsPerform machine setup, startup, shutdown, breakdown and preventative maintenance on moulding machinesMonitor and optimize process parameters for efficiency and qualityEnsure all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and performing to standardsLiaise with Supervisors and the Production Manager regarding faults or improvementsTrain and support Associate Technicians and ApprenticesMaintain accurate records of setups, calibrations, and equipment checks Comply with all standard maintenance and operating procedures, GMP, 5s and Health & Safety policies.Promote a safe working environment by following Health and Safety guidelines as well as implementing & closing out actions for the continual improvement of work place safety.Provide support to other departments to ensure that new projects/equipment are delivered, installed and maintained on time and to the highest standard.Lead Continuous Improvement activities to change or adapt existing maintenance methods and/or schedules so as to be more efficientContinue to maintain own professional development in field of expertise.Perform other tasks as required.Let’s talk about Qualifications and ExperienceStrong hands-on skills in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and Pneumatic devices and systems and ability to read and interpret electromechanical drawings.Expert in performing preventative maintenance activities on equipment.Strong Communication and leadership skills.Ability to lead and develop team members at different levels.Good understanding of computer systems (MS Office, Oracle).Ability to work in a fast moving and demanding team environment.Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.Proactively self-manage and complete work to the highest standards and in a timely manner.Required:Degree or relevant trade certificate (e.g. Polymer, Electrical, Mechanical)Preferred:5 years’ experience on moulding equipment maintenanceExperience working in a high-volume manufacturing facility within the medical or food industryJoining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
