This position will support global electronic assembly operations with significant onsite time at Mequon and New Berlin facilities, and reports to the manager of manufacturing process engineering - PCBAThis engineering role supports global electronic assembly operations across Rockwell Automation facilities and operates within a specialized team positioned at the intersection of manufacturing excellence, technology roadmap ownership, process standardization, and advanced process analysis.The mission is to provide expert-level leadership in electronic assembly to enhance quality, reliability, throughput, and long-term profitability through standardization, strategic capital deployment, and technology innovation.Your Responsibilities:Technical Subject Matter ExpertiseMaintain deep expertise in at least two electronic assembly processes, including but not limited to: Wave soldering, Selective soldering, Conformal coating, PCB panel singulation, SMT solder printing, SMT pick-and-place, SMT reflow, AOI, equipment maintenance & troubleshootingProcess & Standards LeadershipDevelop and deploy global electronic assembly process standardsReduce cost, improve quality, and increase throughputAuthor and maintain procedures, work instructions, and training materialsDrive compliance to best‑practice standardization across global facilitiesCapital Equipment & Technology DeploymentLead equipment selection, justification, purchase, and implementationManage capital projects from requirement definition through production releaseBenchmark emerging electronic assembly technologies via suppliers, industry conferences, and technical forumsAssessing global electronic assembly manufacturing facilities against standardized criteriaData-Driven Process OptimizationUse DOE, control charts, and statistical analysisMonitor and report electronic assembly KPIs to drive continuous improvementApply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC and DMADV)Cross-Functional & Design EngagementPartner with design teams on DFM / DFAIntegrate assembly considerations into Electronic Assembly Design GuidelinesShare knowledge through presentations, documentation, and technical reviewsThe Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree in Relevant FieldLegal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job openingThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:Typically requires 8 years of experienceBS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred)7–10+ years hands‑on electronic assembly manufacturing experienceDepth in solder profiling, SMT, post‑SMT or conformal coat processesIPC‑A‑610 familiarityLean Six Sigma experience (Green Belt+ preferred)What We Offer:Hybrid work scheduleHealth Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision401kPaid Time offParental and Caregiver LeaveTo learn more about our benefits package, please visit at www.raquickfind.com.At Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires 8 years of experience (experience, 8 years)
  • BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred) (experience)
  • 7–10+ years hands‑on electronic assembly manufacturing experience (experience, 10 years)
  • Depth in solder profiling, SMT, post‑SMT or conformal coat processes (experience)
  • IPC‑A‑610 familiarity (experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma experience (Green Belt+ preferred) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assessing global electronic assembly manufacturing facilities against standardized criteria
  • Data-Driven Process Optimization
  • Use DOE, control charts, and statistical analysis
  • Monitor and report electronic assembly KPIs to drive continuous improvement
