The role involves supporting system integration, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customers.The position is ideal for engineers with experience in electrical power systems, PLC/automation, industrial control systems, or commissioning environments.What you will be doing:Electrical & Automation EngineeringSupport the integration and application of electrical and automation systems including:Electrical power distribution systemsControl and automation systemsPLC-based control architectureElectrical panels and control panelsInstrumentation and industrial electrical systemsReview and interpret technical documentation such as:Electrical schematicsSingle-line diagramsWiring diagramsSystem architecture drawingsSupport integration of electrical and automation systems within power generation and industrial applications.System Integration & Application EngineeringTranslate project and customer requirements into practical engineering solutionsSupport system integration across electrical, automation and mechanical interfacesParticipate in technical design reviews and system integration discussionsWork closely with internal engineering teams and project stakeholdersTesting, Commissioning & TroubleshootingSupport FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning activities where requiredPerform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and automation issuesSupport corrective actions and technical resolution during system integrationAssist with technical documentation and commissioning reportsVerification & ComplianceSupport verification and validation activities to ensure systems meet performance and safety requirementsEnsure compliance with Rolls-Royce engineering standards and applicable regulationsCollaboration & Customer SupportWork closely with cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, controls and mechanical engineersSupport customer technical discussions and provide application engineering supportCommunicate technical information clearly to internal teams and customersPosition requirements:Education / Work Experience / SkillsBachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related disciplineStrong fresh graduates may be considered if they demonstrate relevant electrical and automation focus through projects, internships, or industrial exposureExperience & Technical SkillsExperience in electrical engineering, automation engineering, application engineering, or system integration rolesHands-on exposure to electrical and automation systems, such as:Power systems or power distributionControl systems / automationElectrical panels, instrumentation, or industrial electrical systemsTesting, commissioning, or troubleshooting activitiesFamiliarity with control systems, automation concepts, or PLC-based systems is strongly preferredExperience or exposure to industrial, power generation, marine, or infrastructure environments is an advantageEngineering & Problem-Solving CapabilityStrong technical problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and structured troubleshootingAbility to work in structured engineering environments with defined processes and governanceComfortable working across system interfaces and managing technical complexityCommunication & CollaborationEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary and geographically distributed teamsCustomer-facing mindset with the ability to support technical discussions and application decisionsAbout mtu Power SystemsPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
