And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.Position SummaryThe Journeyman Tool and Die Maker plans, makes bench layouts, fabricates and repairs a wide variety of tooling; holding extremely close tolerances.What you will be doing:Plan and make bench layouts of a variety of tools, gages, dies, jigs, fixtures, special machine parts and attachments, etc. holding extremely close tolerancesPerform first-article, in-process, and final dimension inspectionsLoad, execute, modify, write, and troubleshoot CMM programsPerform routine calibration checks and preventative maintenance on CMM probes and toolsUse a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment such as sine bars, height gauges, gate blocks, indicators, micrometers, standard gauges, etc. Work from blueprints, sketches, 3-D models, verbal and written instructions. Handle parts manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.Basic Requirements:Must have completed a formal apprenticeship or 8 years of equivalent training/experience to qualify as a Journeyman. High School Diploma or GED.In order to qualify for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen.Preferred:Training and experience in the set up and operation of CMM machines.
