Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technical Specialist, Gears & ShaftsWorking Pattern: Hybrid (3 office days a week)Working Location: Indianapolis, INAs the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Specialist for Machining, you will have the opportunity to use your ideas to help shape the future for Rolls-Royce North America’s external supply chain gear and shaft manufacturing. You will lead all technical aspects of the gear and shaft external supply chain manufacturing activities in both development and production with accountability to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met. You will be instrumental in ensuring technical and procedural processes and organizations are ready for industrialization. The technical specialist will be recognized as an authoritative source of gear and shaft manufacturing technical expertise and advice in the North American external supply chain and viewed as a key member of the broader team of technical expertise by senior capability leadership. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.Basic Requirements:Associate degree with 7+ years of Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing experience, ORBachelor’s degree with 5+ years of Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing experience, ORMaster’s degree with 3+ years of Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing experience, ORPhD, OR9+ years of Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing experience in lieu of a degreeIn order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Requirements:Strong understanding of gear, spline and shaft manufacturing processes, special processes related to gears and splines, and inspection techniques, including analytical gear chart interpretation.Strong problem-solving skills related to gear and spline manufacturing.Familiarity with industry gear and spline specifications. I.e. Preferred Qualifications
