The successful candidate will drive cost optimization, supplier performance, operational efficiency, procurement governance, and sustainable procurement practices within a highly matrixed and international environment.The role operates at both strategic and operational levels, partnering closely with regional business leaders, global procurement teams, finance, operations, legal, and functional stakeholders to deliver long-term procurement value and business continuity across APAC.This is a key leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management capability, supplier negotiation expertise, and experience driving procurement transformation initiatives within complex industrial or engineering environments.What you will be doing:Regional Procurement LeadershipDefine and execute APAC indirect procurement strategies aligned with global procurement objectives and regional business prioritiesLead and develop a high-performing procurement team responsible for freight, logistics, construction services, consumables, operational supplies, and indirect procurement activities across APACDrive procurement initiatives to achieve cost savings, operational efficiency, supplier optimization, and long-term value creationEstablish procurement governance, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-makingSupport procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organizationStrategic Sourcing & Category ManagementManage indirect procurement categories including but not limited to:Freight & LogisticsConstruction & Facilities ServicesConsumables & Operational SuppliesIT & Digital ServicesProfessional ServicesMRO and engineering support servicesCorporate operational servicesLead strategic sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract award recommendationsDevelop sourcing and category strategies that balance cost, quality, compliance, service, sustainability, and operational risk mitigationIdentify opportunities for supplier consolidation, process optimization, and commercial improvementSupplier Management & Commercial NegotiationDevelop and manage strategic supplier relationships across APAC and global supplier networksLead complex commercial negotiations involving pricing, service levels, contractual terms, and long-term supplier agreementsNegotiate, conclude, and manage supplier contracts to ensure optimal commercial conditions and service qualityMonitor supplier performance through structured governance frameworks, scorecards, and performance reviewsDrive supplier accountability against KPIs including quality, delivery, responsiveness, compliance, and cost competitivenessSupport escalation management and resolution of procurement or supplier-related operational issuesMarket Intelligence & Procurement StrategyMonitor and analyze market trends, supplier developments, and commercial risks to proactively adjust procurement strategiesProvide procurement insights and recommendations to support business planning and operational requirementsCollaborate closely with global procurement teams and contribute to group-wide sourcing initiatives and procurement programsSupport sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives aligned with Rolls-Royce corporate objectivesStakeholder & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with regional and global stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Facilities teamsAct as the key procurement advisor to internal business functions across APACEnsure procurement involvement in budgeting, demand planning, project execution, and operational initiativesCollaborate with business units to understand operational requirements and deliver procurement solutions aligned to business objectivesSupport stakeholders in supplier selection, contract governance, procurement compliance, and risk managementContract, Compliance & Risk ManagementLead contract lifecycle management activities across regional procurement operationsEnsure supplier contracts comply with Rolls-Royce governance, legal, commercial, and compliance requirementsIdentify procurement and supply risks impacting regional operations and implement mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with corporate policies, procurement governance standards, and sustainability objectivesSupport audit activities and ensure adherence to procurement controls and ethical sourcing standardsEnsure business continuity planning for critical suppliers and procurement categoriesProcurement Operations & Continuous ImprovementDrive procurement process standardization and operational excellence initiativesImprove procurement efficiency through automation, analytics, digital procurement tools, and process improvement methodologiesSupport procurement system optimization initiatives including SAP and procurement platformsMonitor procurement spends, savings performance, and budget compliance across APACPromote continuous improvement culture within the procurement function using modern procurement practices and organizationPosition requirements:Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related disciplineMinimum 8 years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, energy, marine, or multinational environmentsStrong experience managing indirect procurement categories such as logistics, services, consumables, facilities, and operational support servicesProven experience managing regional procurement operations across APAC marketsStrong leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams within a matrix organizationProven experience in:Strategic sourcing and category managementSupplier Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline (degree in business administration)
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, energy, marine, or multinational environments (experience, 8 years)
  • Strong experience managing indirect procurement categories such as logistics, services, consumables, facilities, and operational support services (experience)
  • Proven experience managing regional procurement operations across APAC markets (experience)
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams within a matrix organization (experience)
  • Proven experience in:Strategic sourcing and category managementSupplier negotiation and contract managementProcurement governance and complianceCost optimization and procurement transformation initiativesStakeholder management across regional and global environments (experience)
