Join us as we take flight.Position Overview:Accountable for operational planning of the product lines under his/her charge working closely with the other functional departmentsResponsible for adequate planning of production in all repair lines to meet Daily, Weekly and Monthly production targets and other defined measures of performance, such as Turn Around Time (TAT) and On Time Delivery (OTD)Accountable for ensuring operational indicators within CORE Control Tower are metResponsible for all supervisory and human resource responsibilities for all direct reports (Time & Attendance, Performance Management, Training, Communications, Discipline)Be accountable for specific area(s) of the EH&S program as assigned and Quality standards across the assigned value streamsDevelop and mentor Team Leads to assist in optimum operational planningDrive employee engagement action plans, as appropriate, to meet benchmark scores in employee engagement surveys Identify and champion continuous improvement projects and constantly enhances existing methods of operation via CORE principals.Drive best practices innovation and sharing across the shopAny other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or General ManagerResponsibilities:Utilize data and metrics to identify process improvement opportunitiesCreate/modify standard work to better fit business/customer needsChampion shop floor management process:Ensure Tier 1 shop floor meeting is held as scheduled, participate as necessary and provide communication and content for the meetingLead the Tier 2 Line by Line meeting with the team daily, ensure comments and actions are taken as appropriateParticipate in the weekly GEMBA walk, address concerns noted in a timely mannerEnsure progress toward Macro plan deliverables through the yearUpdate Policy Deployment Progress Reviews (PDPR) to show plans and progress toward achieving Macro plan deliverablesAddress risks and negatively trending items with proactive RRCAParticipate in and/or lead continuous improvement eventsIdentify cost reduction opportunities and drive actions for cost savingsDevelop, implement and maintain a resource plan that ensures adequacy in employee numbers, skill level, on-going training and personal development employees under his/her chargeTo meet all applicable EHS, Quality and Global Trade requirementsRequirements:Minimum 4 years of operational/ functional experience with at least 2 years in a role managing groups of direct employeesMeticulous with details and flair for operations planningInterest in developing and managing direct employees Assertive with effective communication and listening skills Result and performance orientedDemonstrated ethical decision making & Quality First mindsetCompetencies:Accountability – is accountable and passes own accountability for his/her own actions and those of colleagues and the organizationCooperation - ability to work effectively with others to achieve a shared goal even when the object at stake is of no direct personal interestCommunication – Able to utilize effective communication skills in order to create a clear mutual understanding with employees on common goals, directives and expectations.Leadership of groups – ability to provide direction and guidance to a group of people and to encourage cooperation between team members in order to attain an objectiveProblem Analysis – ability to detect problems, recognize important information and link various data to trace potential causes and look for relevant detailApproval ID 31350814RTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.   • Minimum 4 years of operational/ functional experience with at least 2 years in a role managing groups of direct employees (experience, 4 years)

  • Create/modify standard work to better fit business/customer needs
  • Champion shop floor management process:
  • Ensure Tier 1 shop floor meeting is held as scheduled, participate as necessary and provide communication and content for the meeting
  • Lead the Tier 2 Line by Line meeting with the team daily, ensure comments and actions are taken as appropriate
  • Participate in the weekly GEMBA walk, address concerns noted in a timely manner
