This work will include duties as an Electronic/Flight Test Engineer located at Edwards AFB, CA. This Flight Test Engineer position will be primarily involved with the AMRAAM® missile that is a multi-platform, multi-service weapon, reporting to the IVC Field/Test Support Section Lead and Department Manager. You must be able to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. The work is performed under general direction, and you must be able to independently determine and develop solutions. This is a demanding, hands-on, flight-line support position. You may be required to work non-standard and extended hours under potentially extreme conditions. What You Will DoPerform integration, verification, and testing in the lab or the field to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements.Perform data collection activities, including review and analysis of data elements, and provide quick look reports of results.Be an integral part of multi-disciplinary teams in fault isolation, fault analysis, and corrective action investigations across mechanical and electrical subsystems, system-level performance, and system-of-system integration, including all-up round (AUR) configurations, weapon-to-carriage interfaces, and aircraft platform integration.This is a demanding, hands-on, lab and direct flight test support position. There are some non-standard and extended hours under potentially extreme conditions.Support Flight Line testing outside around operational aircraft.Domestic Travel required, which is typically for a one-week duration. 10% travel.Obtain and maintain additional program access as required.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or other related engineering disciplines. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
